Hand Finishing Variations — Drapery hardware that is finished individually in the hands of master craftsmen will naturally vary. It’s inherent in the process, and the fact that it is not being replicated on a high-speed assembly line, is what makes it a custom drapery hardware product. Different materials take paint or stain differently. A hand-finished resin drapery rod finial may look slightly darker or lighter than a hand-finished wood drapery rod in the same color. This is because the wood absorbs more color than the resin. These slight natural color variations deliver the desired custom character and blend with the surroundings once the overall window treatment is installed. Brand Variations — You may see the same color or finish name in other manufacturers’ collections, however they may not match one another. For example, ADR’s Oil-Rubbed Bronze may not match Oil-Rubbed Bronze from a different brand. Once you settle on which products you want to buy, it’s a good idea to order all the components from the same vendor. Display Variations — There may be variations between what you see in the catalog and the actual finish.
