Inspired by the Rococo style of architecture from 1720-1789 such as Belvedere Palace in Vienna, Austria. Includes hand wrought iron 1/3 in. diameter inner ring for rod pocket drapery panels.
Centuries before drapery, grand beds with heavy tapestries and hand embroidered fabrics wrapped royalty snugly against the cold. As heating improved, wrapping was removed but the corona or crown remained, thus signifying the importance of the person below as they literally held court in bed.
Inspired by Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy’s bed in The White House circa 1961.
