Tiny Expeditions is a podcast that explores the tiny science of genetics, DNA, and inheritance from the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. We journey into the lab during each expedition and hear from some of the world’s leading scientists. This podcast doesn’t shy away from science, but it’s produced with you in mind. Our goal is to give everyone access to digestible information about the genetic code that defines the world around us. In Season 1 , you’ll explore animal morphology and the genetics that make animals look the way they do. Season 2 takes you on journeys into the tiny science behind the world of agriculture. During Season 3 , you will learn about the role of genomics in human health and disease. In Season 4 , we investigate how DNA and genetic technology are helping us tackle some of the biggest problems threatening our planet today and in the future.
Our latest online game, FILTERED , introduces the concepts and tools of bioinformatics to students who attempt to unlock the identity of a mysterious pathogen crisscrossing the globe.
