What A Difference This Journey Has Made To say that 2017 is Executive Directors 9 Eric Toh and Stephanie Thian’s landmark year, is definitely an understatement. Their growth–advancing to Executive Director 7 in April, Executive Director 8 in June and to their current status of Executive Director 9 in July–has been phenomenal and is certainly not an easy feat! For Eric and Stephanie, their success in Melaleuca made all the difference for their family. Building the Melaleuca business has afforded them precious, valuable time with their two sons. “In our previous MLM businesses, we found ourselves constantly working from Monday to Sunday, with nary a day of rest. That’s not the life we want,” Eric says. Stephanie chimes in, “Our sons have always been our ‘WHY’. Now that they are at Primary 6 and Secondary 2, it is even more crucial for us to be there for them in their development and journey into adolescence.” Enjoying and appreciating the time freedom that has enabled them to build a stronger bond with their sons, Eric and Stephanie also says that their Melaleuca income has allowed them to provide their children with experiences that the couple themselves did not have in their childhood. Creating indelible memories together on family trips, such as their holiday in Japan last year as well as Taiwan and Shanghai this year, have been very fulfilling and the couple is thankful that they can be the best parents they could be. “I lost my father to a deadly disease when I was 9 years old, so I know all too well about seizing the moment and spending quality time with family above everything else,” Eric notes. The couple are also on their way to achieving total financial freedom. This year, they achieved their highest monthly income of RM244,677.46 when they advanced to Executive Director 8 in June. Most people can only dream of generating an annual income of that amount, but for Eric and Stephanie, this is not a dream but a reality. Besides that, they have also achieved lifetime earnings of almost RM4.3 million with Melaleuca. Now that’s an amazing financial reward, and certainly a far cry from their days of being saddled with multiple debts, prior to Melaleuca. “Now, we don’t have any outstanding debts except for our mortgage which we are planning to pay off by next year” shares the couple, who are five-time President’s Club winners, including this year. Eric and Stephanie have grand plans to end the year strong–enrolling another 20 new Preferred Customers, developing another 6 new personal Directors and, not to forget, achieving their ‘This Year I Will’ goal of advancing to National Director. But that’s not all. The couple has set their sights far and plan to advance to Corporate Director 3 by 2020, as well as help at least 10,000 households to convert their homes to Melaleuca and 500 business builders reach their goals of achieving time and financial freedom. “The potential for success at Melaleuca is unlike anything we’ve ever seen or experienced, and we know that we will be generously rewarded the more we help others succeed. Enrolling with Melaleuca was the best decision we’ve ever made in our lives. Every aspect of our lives has been enhanced- physically, financially and personally–in the past 7 years, what a difference this journey has made to our lives,” the couple shares happily.

of the Year, in 2014 and 2015, Eric explains with pride, “Since we joined Melaleuca in 2010, this year has been the biggest growth for us, and that’s because we grew our organization Preferred Customers by four figures. More than 1,000 Preferred Customers, to be precise!” Some may wonder whether good fortune and luck had something to do with it, but their success is derived from hard work and an unflinching determination to be better. The escalated growth of Eric and Stephanie’s organization stems from their belief that a team who works together, grows together. “We’ve worked hard to cultivate a fantastic team. Building and strengthening the leadership pipeline are important to ensure your organization has a healthy and consistent growth,” Eric explains, saying that he and Stephanie continuously encourage their entire team to participate in all company events and activities. “From weekly meetings to celebrations, and participation in Fast Track Trips–we motivate our team of builders to be present, active and accountable in all. Being consistent in your effort proves that it will yield the results that you plan for,” he continues. The couple’s leadership style and skills are certainly something to be admired. They firmly believe in leading by example, and this inspires their builders to emulate their effort, consistency and work ethics. “Leading by example is something we wholeheartedly believe in. There is no such thing as resting on our laurels, while the team does the work. No, that does not work for us,” Stephanie explains, saying that she and Eric never wavered in their personal activities of enrolling new Preferred Customers and developing new leadership each month. Case in point, from January to October 2017, Eric and Stephanie enrolled 46 new Preferred Customers and developed 6 new personal Directors. Most importantly, what also helped to accelerate the growth is the heavy and intense focus on Critical Activities 1 to 3, be it for themselves personally or for their organization. “We consistently conduct trainings to coach our team of builders to do things the right way, which helps them to inculcate the habit of consistently doing these critical activities. Setting daily goals of adding one name to our contact list, making five calls a day and being accountable by sharing our daily activities with our team is a system that works and can be duplicated successfully,” Stephanie says. This consistency has led their organization to reap amazing rewards–as at October, Eric and Stephanie have 287 active Directors and 2,941 Preferred Customers in their organization.
