Beliau berminat untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut dan kemudiannya mendapati bahawa Melaleuca memberi peluang kepadanya untuk memperolehi pendapatan berterusan yang mampan. Sebagai seorang ahli perniagaan yang menjalankan kilang pakaian bersama adik-adiknya, KL tahu bahawa perniagaan tradisional tidak akan dapat bertahan dalam jangka masa panjang kerana pelaburan masa, tenaga kerja dan jentera yang tinggi dan berterusan. “Saya menyedari bahawa Melaleuca adalah penyelesaian untuk dilema saya. Perniagaan tradisional saya tidak akan dapat memberi saya pendapatan berterusan yang mampan, dan dengan Melaleuca, saya berpotensi mencapai kebebasan masa dan kewangan untuk memenuhi impian saya mengembara ke sekeliling dunia,” jelasnya. KL bekerja rapat dengan pasukan jurulatih dan sokongannya, dan menjalankan 7 Aktiviti Kritikal Membina Perniagaan, yang secara beransur-ansur melihatnya mara ke status Pengarah Kanan pada bulan Ogos 2014. Tetapi tidak lama kemudian, cabaran di kilangnya mengalihkan perhatian beliau daripada membina perniagaan Melaleucanya, yang menyaksikan beliau kekal di status Pengarah Kanannya selama 3 tahun. “Ia mengambil sedikit masa untuk menyelesaikan isu-isu yang dihadapi di kilang. Bukan itu sahaja, saya juga kehabisan nama dalam senarai kenalan saya, kerana saya mendapati sukar untuk bertemu dengan orang yang berkongsi minda yang sama untuk membina perniagaan yang mampan,” kata KL. Pada awal tahun 2017, KL komited untuk berubah demi memajukan perniagaan Melaleucanya. “Sebaik sahaja isu-isu kilang telah diselesaikan, saya menyerahkan kebanyakan hal-hal operasi kepada adik-beradik saya, jadi saya boleh memberi tumpuan kepada Melaleuca,” katanya. Beliau mengadakan mesyuarat tetap dengan pasukan pembina perniagaan di pejabatnya, untuk menjalankan aktiviti harian mereka bersama-sama. Mereka komited terhadap Aktiviti Kritikal

1 dan 2, menetapkan sasaran membuat lima panggilan sehari dan menambah lima nama ke senarai kenalan mereka setiap minggu. “Saya tahu kepentingan menambah nama pada senarai kenalan. Anda tidak boleh membiarkannya kehabisan, seperti yang pernah saya lakukan sebelum ini,” tegas KL. Beliau dan pasukannya memikul tanggungjawab mereka dengan mengemas kini aktiviti mereka melalui WeChat. KL juga aktif mengambil bahagian dalam aktiviti kumpulan seperti perbincangan dan Power Hours, untuk memacu momentum bagi mengembangkan perniagaannya. Akhirnya, KL berjaya mengembangkan perniagaannya semula dan mara ke status Pengarah Kanan 2 pada bulan Ogos 2017. “Sepanjang semua ini, kuasa pendapatan berterusan, dan kepercayaan saya dalam konsep kesihatan Melaleuca membuatkan saya terus maju. Berbanding dengan rakan- rakan saya, saya lebih sihat dan bertenaga, terima kasih kepada produk Melaleuca,” kata Pengarah Kanan baru 2 yang berusia 65 tahun Disember ini. Pendapatan berterusan beliau juga memberi beliau ketenangan fikiran. “Dengan perniagaan tradisional saya, terdapat begitu banyak aspek yang memerlukan perhatian saya. Tetapi dengan Melaleuca, apa yang perlu saya lakukan adalah berkongsi produk hebat dan peluang perniagaan yang luar biasa dengan orang lain,” beliau berkata, dengan menyatakan bahawa beliau sangat gembira dengan jumlah isi rumah yang diperkenalkannya kepada produk selamat Melaleuca. KL menasihatkan pembina perniagaan baru untuk bersabar apabila keadaan menjadi sukar. “Kegigihan adalah sangat penting. Akan ada saat-saat apabila anda berasa seperti mahu menyerah kalah, tetapi teruskanlah berusaha, dan akhirnya anda akan melihat hasilnya. Membangunkan Melaleuca adalah kerja berpasukan, bukan individu. Pastikan anda mempunyai sokongan dan motivasi daripada pasukan anda. Inilah yang menjadikan perbezaan yang besar dalam membantu anda menghadapi cabaran anda,” katanya. Berbangga dengan hasilnya, KL bersedia untuk membantu 2000 isi rumah lagi untuk beralih kepada produk yang lebih selamat pada suku terakhir tahun ini!

In early 2017, KL committed to change in order to move his Melaleuca business forward. “Once the factory issues were resolved, I passed on most of the operational matters to my brothers, so I could focus on Melaleuca,” he comments. He set up regular meetings with his team of business builders at his office, to carry out their daily activities together. They committed to Critical Activities 1 and 2, setting a target of making five calls per day and adding five names to their contact list weekly. “I knew the importance of adding names to the contact list. You can never let that well run dry, like I’ve had previously,” KL stresses. He and his team held themselves accountable by updating their activities through WeChat. KL also actively participated in group activities such as discussions and Power Hours, to drive the momentum to grow his business. Eventually, KL managed to grow his business again and advanced to Senior Director 2 in August 2017. “Throughout it all, the power of residual income, and my faith in Melaleuca’s wellness concept kept me moving forward. As compared to my peers, I am a lot healthier and energetic, thanks to Melaleuca products,” says the new Senior Director 2 who is turning 65 this December. His residual income also gives him peace of mind. “With my traditional business, there are so many aspects that needed my close attention. But with Melaleuca, all I need to do is share great products and the amazing business opportunity with others,” he says, noting that he is really glad of the number of households he introduced to Melaleuca’s safe products. KL advises new business builders to persevere when the going gets tough. “Perseverance is very important. There will be moments when you feel like giving up, but stick to it, and you will eventually see the results. Building Melaleuca is a team sport, not an individual one. Ensure you have support and motivation from your team. This makes a big difference in helping you get through your challenges,” he says. Elated with his results, KL is set to help another 2000 households switch stores to safer products in the last quarter of the year! When Senior Director 2 Teoh Keng Long, or more fondly known as KL, was first introduced to Melaleuca in July 2011 by an old friend, Senior Director 9 Lim Kim Seng, he found that Melaleuca’s wellness concept was one that aligns with his belief of environmental wellness. He was keen to know more and soon discovered that Melaleuca provides an opportunity for him to gain sustainable residual income. As a businessman running a garment factory with his younger brothers, KL knew that a traditional business will never be sustainable in the long run due to the high and constant investment of time, manpower and machineries. “I realized that Melaleuca was the solution to my dilemma. My traditional business will never be able to provide me with a sustainable residual income, and with Melaleuca, I could potentially achieve both time and financial freedom to fulfill my dream of travelling around the world,” he explains. KL worked closely with his enroller and support team, and carried out the 7 Critical Business-Building Activities diligently, which gradually saw him advancing to Senior Director in August 2014. But soon, challenges in his factory took his focus away from building his Melaleuca business, which saw him remaining at his Senior Director status for 3 years. “It took some time trouble- shooting the issues faced at the factory. Not only that, I was also running out of names on my contact list, as I found it difficult to meet people who share the same mindset of building a
