Lou MacNarin School- Mr. Aube and Ms. Hebert's grade 2 classes have been reading biographies and other non-fiction books to learn more about remarkable Canadians and other extraordinary global citizens. They also read books about the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) this month. They discovered that this is the year of the Dragon and that the Lunar New Year is the most celebrated and longest of all Asian festivals and is observed by millions of people worldwide.

Bernice MacNaughton High School – BMHS hosted the RBC Future Launch Day on February 9th, 2024. RBC Future launch aims to prepare young people for the changing future of work. The day kicked off with a special virtual interactive keynote with 3-time Canadian Olympian gymnast, Ellie Black. She delivered an inspirational session, and student led Q&A, that helped demonstrate the resilience required to achieve goals. All Grade 9-12 students were then invited to attend workshops on “Being Future Ready” and “How it All Makes Up to Making Sense of Savings” led by student MCs.
