Tasmanian Hospitality Review - February / March 2023

Clubs Tasmania

It has been a busy start to 2023 with Clubs Tasmania visiting 96 clubs around Sheffield, Devonport, Port Sorell, Beauty Point and George Town areas. It has been great getting out and meeting so many of you who are dedicated and passionate about our local community club sector. Prior to Christmas we carried out a survey for every club to complete. In this survey we asked all 900 clubs what they would like to see Clubs Tasmania deliver throughout the year; we have taken these suggestions onboard to roll out in 2023. Over the next three months we have an action-packed schedule, with eight Grants Writing Sessions where already over 150 people (Clubs) have booked in to participate around Tasmania. These sessions are a great opportunity for people wanting to learn how to write grants for the first time, or for the experienced who would like to gain a few tips and how to access available grants. These sessions will be carried out by Tasmania Committee Fund in conjunction with Community Sport and Recreation and Clubs Tasmania.

workshop please email tom@tha.asn.au to book a session or visit Clubs Tasmania’s Facebook page. We are also hosting a sports taping session at the University Football Club in Hobart which is completely booked out. However, stay tuned for our sports taping sessions in the north and north west in March/April. Finally, stick Friday April 28 in the diary. We will be holding a Clubs Tasmania industry night for all clubs which will have Minister Nic Street attending and some great speakers. This will be a great chance to relax and network with everyone. We will also have some of the Tasmanian Hospitality Association’s Corporate partners attending, where you can speak to them and see where they can assist your club and possibly save you some money.

Clubs Tasmania has partnered with Digital Ready to help clubs improve and navigate the tricky world of social media, and to help assist with their social media performance. These sessions are not to be missed – they will be carried out in Hobart, Launceston, Wynyard and Devonport. If you are interested in booking a
