Jonathan Pitre Golf Classic
Some 118 golfers showed their support for a great cause by participating in the first annual Jonathan Pitre Golf Classic.The event, whichwas held at Falcon Ridge Golf Club inOttawa on Friday July 22, was organized as a fundraiser in support of DEBRACanada. DEBRA is an organisation dedicated to helping those who, like Jonathan, are afflicted by Epidermolysis Bullosa. Jonathan will be leaving with his mother, Tina Boileau, for Minnesota in a few weeks to begin a blood and marrow transplant that may help stop the progress of this skin disease. —photo Danic Legault
Mélodie Dubuc, une élève de l’École secondaire catholique de Casselman, a décidé de se lancer en affaires pour l’été. Dans le cadre du programme Entreprise d’été, elle a opté pour les soins des animaux, plus particulièrement la promenade de chiens. Pour faire la promotion de son entreprise, Mélodie s’est rendue au magasin Pet Valu de Casselman, le samedi 23 juillet dernier, pour offrir ses services. —photo Danic Legault
