Editor’s NOTE Defense Acquisition magazine is proud to bring to our readers this Digital Acquisition Special Issue developed by a team of Warfighting Acquisition University’s faculty members. We thank the contributors and especially their team leader, Dr. Aleksandra Scalco, for the time, effort, and persistence involved in this project. We hope there is something here that will benefit every acquisition workforce reader. This issue is based on the state of affairs during its preparation. We know that new policies are coming in this critical area, and we will cover those going forward. We know that the importance of digitalization will continue growing in all functional areas. Figuring out its present promise and limits are one task; the other is learning how to adopt it constructively and adapt our work to its future possibilities. The ball is definitely in our court.
