The SensorSmart system uses the standardised Qualified Bluetooth Mesh (QBM) wireless communication protocol to transmit control and setting information between the devices in the system. This is based on the same Bluetooth communication technology used in mobile phones. Some of the devices may be controlled directly e.g. LED Drivers in light fittings with the Bluetooth transmitter / receiver built inside, others may have a converter that allows a non-wireless device to be linked to the wireless system, e.g. a Bluetooth to DALI converter for adding standard wired DALI dimmable drivers or groups of drivers into the system

DALI Sensor

All the nodes send messages to each other forming a ‘mesh’ of communication between all.

The result is a very easy to install and operate control system for general lighting with daylight-linking and motion sensing capabilities, particularly ideal for retro-fit applications where adding cables is difficult or impossible.
