The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 10

SECONDARY REFLECTION NASH, CHARLOTTE & IZAK YEAR 12 CAPTAINS

This Term all students have been super busy with exams, Rhythm Revival, school sports and so much more.

A couple of weeks ago we had our ‘ Rhythm Revival ’ showcase which was enjoyable for all involved. All of the performers did an excellent job and it was well received by the audience.

We ’ ve had lots of students going out to represent the school for sport both individually and in teams. We ’ re super impressed with everyone ’ s efforts and can ’ t wait to see how far they go next Term - we just had tryouts for the basketball teams! All of our senior students undertook their Semester 1 exams over the past couple of weeks. Well done to all students - especially to our fellow Year 12s who sat the GAT. It was great preparation for our end of year exams, for which dates have just been announced. Lots of students have also been preparing for the dance competition ‘ Wakakirri ’. All year we ’ ve been creating, learning and practicing a seven minute long dance titled ‘ The Fabric of You ’. We will be performing this dance in August and are super excited to see all of our hard work pay off! Now that we ’ re at the end of Term, students in younger year levels have chosen their Semester 2 electives and are excited to learn new things. For us Year 12s, we are both feeling sad and excited to say that we only have one full Term of school left! We hope everyone has a safe and fun holidays, see you next Term!
