SEAMUS HEANEY CENTRE, QUEEN’S UNIVERSITY BELFAST

STREET FURNITURE Creation of an inspiring environment at the new Seamus Heaney Centre continued beyond the confines of the building, with Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) Ltd enlisted to enliven its outdoor space. ESF supplied galvanised-steel, surface-mounted Vera benches with backrests, as well as custom aluminium square tree planters, for the project. Stephen Ferris, Marketing Executive, said, “With decades of experience in providing attractive outdoor site furnishings, our Street division is made up of architectural, high-specification street furniture, whilst also offering value engineering to suit every project budget. “The most satisfying aspects of this project for us were seeing our high-quality, stylish furniture seamlessly enhance the urban landscape and contribute to the community’s aesthetic and functional appeal.” ESF is a global designer and supplier offering beautifully- designed furniture for outdoor spaces, exported to over 30 countries worldwide. It delivers exceptional products and quality, offering excellence in design integrating technology, innovation and modern materials.

MECHANICAL SERVICES

A domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing and heating specialist, Hanna Mechanical Services was sub-contracted by GEDA to deliver plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning works. Paul Graham, Contract Manager at Hanna Mechanical, said, “Our highly-qualified, experienced team of engineers knows how to complete a job on time and on budget. This has earned us a reputation for delivering work within tight contract programmes, while also maintaining a high level of workmanship. “We strive to supply a fast, reliable service for all mechanical building service needs. Our fast-growing Maintenance Division looks after and maintains mechanical services for an ever- increasing number of key clients within Northern Ireland’s financial, pharmaceutical, food, education, retail and care home industries. Established in 2003 by Gary Hanna, the Carryduff-based business found working with main contractor GEDA to be professional and efficient. “This is a quality installation in a building that highlights the work of one of Ireland’s great poets, and I believe does him justice,” said Paul.
