WHATEVER THE PROJECT, DOORWAYS CAN OFFER DOORSETS TO MEET CUSTOMERS’ SPECIFICATIONS… Doorways’ joinery department fully accredited for doorset production

With over 50 years’ experience in specifying and supplying doors, Doorways is the largest door distributor in Northern Ireland. Through building strong relationships with leading manufacturers, as well as importing its own range of door designs, Doorways can deliver bespoke solutions for projects across residential and commercial sectors. And this includes its fully-certified ISO 9001:2015 doorset offering. The British Standard BS EN 12519 defines a doorset as a ‘complete unit consisting of a door frame and a door leaf or leaves, supplied with all essential parts from a single source’. All doorsets are pre-assembled, meaning the manufacturer includes all the correct components and guarantees that the entire doorset, including the individual hardware, will match the tested design. This avoids having to source the correct hardware separately for each door, with time saved on site from a fitting perspective.

Doorways has completed an array of different doorset projects in the last year. These include The Ebrington Hotel in Derry/Londonderry which consisted of over 400 doorsets, hospital upgrades and, most recently, an apartment block at the redevelopment of the King’s Hall site in Belfast. Many of the doorsets for the King’s Hall development were assembled by the joinery department at Doorways. The company is fully certified to supply fire doorsets, which was a requirement for this project. Once the order was confirmed, the firm provided delivery of materials in line with the project timeline. Andrew Davis, General Manager, Doorways, said, “From the starting point, we were focused on the details as well as meeting project deadlines and we worked closely with the foreman to achieve that.” From design, specification and

functionality right through to fire certification, the experts at Doorways can help save you time and hassle on your next project. The company’s four core principles, quality, choice, design and service, are incorporated into their approach for each job and the company refuses to compromise on quality, no matter what sector it supplies in an ever-changing industry. Doorways has maintained its meticulous approach to traceability and compliance, ensuring it remains a safe choice for both trade and domestic customers. Andrew said, “Our priority, whatever the size or type of project construction, is to support the contract’s design and site team by making sure we are meeting their clients’ specifications, fire certification and budget requirements.” For more information, please contact
