PAYROLL PETS

Modern life is incredibly busy. Combining work and home life can be a balancing act, and recently, we’ve all been exposed to considerable uncertainty. Pets can really help our mental well-being and help us find some solace and stability in difficult times. We asked you, the payroll professionals, to show us your pets.

Here are just a few of your wonderful furry and feathered friends...

Name: Marshmallow Sent by: Kassey Ankers ACIPP, senior payroll executive, SD Worx

“This is Marshmallow, one of my six boy rats. I’m a remote worker and they live in my home office. Every day they free roam and keep me and my colleagues entertained by joining in on Teams calls and typing random emails. “When I take a break, they give me lots of cuddles and like to sleep in my hoodie or a scarf around my neck while I work. They’re great for my mental health and I’m so happy to have them as my little colleagues.”

Name: Basil Sent by: Adam Lacey, payroll manager, Sunseeker International Ltd “This is Basil, he helps me to open the payroll post!”

Name: Benji Sent by: Michelle Sutton

MCIPPdip FHEA Dip, head of reward and pensions, SUEZ “Here’s Benji. I simply adore him! He’s a Shih Tzu, and my bestie.”

Name: Bonnie Sent by: Heather Boyle, payroll analyst, Hilton

“This is Bonnie, who’s always keeping my toes warm. She’s my working from home companion and is always there to cuddle me after the tougher days. My gorgeous girl.”

If you’ve submitted your payroll pet to us and they’re not included, you’ll see them in a future issue of Professional .
