Who is this course aimed at? Individuals who are responsible for final payments to employees due to termination of contract.
What will I learn? You will come away with an understanding of what payments are due in which circumstances: how they are calculated, whether they are liable to tax and NICs in full, only partially or are wholly exempt, how and when income tax and NICs are calculated, how HMRC interprets contractual entitlement versus tax free payments, how to calculate the net amount due under the ‘Gourley Principle’, and what PAYE procedures must be followed.
This course clarifies what the law is and how to correctly calculate final payments.
