Cross-Functional Use Case: Pallet/Display Vehicle Customization
Use Case Objective:
Give vendors the tools and insight that they need to create pallets with the best mix to ensure on-shelf availability and mitigate leftover/shrink at the stores
Use Case Benefits: It is the vendor’s responsibility to create shipper/mod/pallets and present them to the category team for Supply Chain to execute to support promotional events, or in recent events, more efficient case pick for everyday turn. Giving the vendor tools and insights to what ADUSA wants in a display vehicle will help them to succeed in supporting our stores. Having the right mix on a shipper/mod/pallet ensures that ADUSA has secondary display for customer disruption to grow sales, but not too much to drive leftover.

Metrics to Review:
1. Utilize IRI template and teach use to vendors 2. Measure effectiveness of existing shipper/mod/pallet combinations by looking at sales ratio vs piece count ratio • If shipper exists that has a poor mix, bring it to vendor for example • Stress the importance of selecting items that are carried in a majority of store POGs for shipper/mod/pallets 3. Encourage the vendor to offer multiple shippers for seasonality by showing sales trends within a product line 4. Teach event guidelines • Multi-Week events may require larger shippers • GDP/Floor placement can dictate the appropriate size of the shipper 5. Align on lead times for appropriate execution (can vary by shipper)
