Use Case Objective:
Develop and monitor a cross-functional scorecard with the vendor partner and align on KPI targets
Use Case Benefits: Vendors want to monitor their performance and ensure that we are both meeting our KPI targets. Working on these targets collaboratively increases our accountability to one another and ensures the program is helping drive performance and execution improvements while aligning on our expectations.
Process/Analytical Steps:
Metrics to Review:
1. Use existing or develop a scorecard to monitor key metrics related to the vendor’s overall performance at ADUSA. It may be best to break out the metric by Brand and potentially by Dept, DC, Store or Category, depending on the areas of focus 2. Meet with the vendor to review the scorecard, individual performance trends, industry trends, and share ADUSA performance expectations 3. Align to targeted improvements with the vendor in areas where they are falling short of set goals. Provide underlying data to help root cause where there may be areas for opportunity 4. Set up meetings with business partners in In-Stock, Forecasting, Logistics, Unsalesables, VIC, etc.. to collaboratively create improvement plans 5. Set mutually agreed upon timelines to hold the involved teams accountable to improving the metrics 6. Continue to track the metric for improvement and continue to iterate on improvement plans until the goal is met
• All applicable KPI metrics (via ADvantage Scorecard, IRI, PowerBI or supplemental data) • Unsaleable team scorecard (if applicable)
Teams to Involve/Collaborate:
• ISA/In-Stock Manager (DC inventory, vendor fill rate, low DC in-stock, etc..) • Forecast Analyst (Forecast accuracy, OSA) • Logistics (if focus is on time delivery and vendor is CPU) • Unsaleables Team (high unsaleable units/dollars) • VIC Team (VIC violation reduction or details on specific violations)
