Minds learning center which provides all the daycare, after-school programs, and summer programs that MHFV has for the children of participants. The second floor will be the behavioral health center and medical clinic, including new staff. Kristen explains the need for having services on property: “The more we can bring in-house, the easier it is for our women to be able to get the services they need because there are fewer steps and a higher chance of success.” She shared that recovery can be a difficult road; keeping things less complicated makes a huge difference. MHFV makes that difference in so many lives. When a participant recovers, “ We are not just impacting one generation in a family, we are impacting multiple generations; that person is healthy again, has a direction in
life, is learning how to be self-sufficient, and can take care of herself and her loved ones.” There’s no doubt Kristen loves what she does: “The thing about development is, it’s not just one person, it’s everyone working together as a team. That's the only way that Mary Hall Freedom Village works. And being led by a strong leader, Lucy Hall,
who founded the organization twenty-six years ago, makes a huge difference. I’m grateful to play a small role in Mary Hall Freedom Village.”
