And it was fall, so we had toys for the kids for Christmas, clothes, and diapers; it was amazing.” Though it is primarily clothing, sometimes people donate nail polish, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. “We can put that on our counter and let people take several items. It’s a lot of fun and incredibly rewarding.” When it comes to intimate apparel, they’ve got that covered too! “Thru Lucy’s connection, several corporations give us new bras, panties, and socks on a regular basis.” It was the Garden Club that first came up with Lucy’s Closet. Lucy’s closet has inspired the Garden Club in return, which now has a storage closet full of children’s clothing in the new building, “So now, we take care of the children too!” Vicki’s message? “We can always use a lot of financial support, whether it's your time or money, or clothing, kids' toys, we take it all!”
