PEOPLE a in t. organizational meetings were held both in the mid west and in the east. The most recent meeting was a con ference in New York at which time Bob Stratan of the “ Calvary Church Hour,” New York, was elected presi dent. Other officers are Phil D'Angelo of the “ Broadway Tabernacle Gospel Hour,” Patterson, N.J., vice presi dent; Paul Hollinger of the Crawford Broadcasting Company, Lancaster, Pa., secretary, and Alex Leonvich of the Russian New Life Broadcast, N.J., treasurer. Members at large are Don Bailey, general manager of WF- GW and WMIT, Black Mountain, N.C., and Jim Galbreath, manager of WFME, West Orange, N.J. The Evangelical Alliance Mission has released a new film entitled “ Carni val Monday.” The 28-minute sound production in color was written and produced by Tom Watson, Jr. It tells the gripping story of a boy’s search for God and pictures an old man who waited too long. Cinematography was done by Ken Semenchuk in Trinidad. EDITORIAL cont. his way, refusing to assume his proper responsibilities until, alas, disgrace has been brought to the family name. Then he appears sur prised, stunned, and shocked. Of course, this is tragically true in the main among non-church-going fami lies, but to a lesser extent, it is also true among the church-going fami lies as well. Teenage youngsters in all too many families wail out the plaintiff cry when parents begin to inquire a little too definitely as to their conduct and activities. “ Oh, you don’t trust me!” We respectfully submit that parents have a right to know where the teenager is and ex actly what he is doing. Not only do parents have a right, but they have a God-given responsibility to know. The youngster who wails, “Oh, you don’t trust me!” very probably is the youngster who actually is not to be trusted, and is using this as a shield for his rascality. Parents are respon sible for the conduct of their teen age children. They ought to know; they ought to make sure that they know; and the youngster ought to be sure that the parents are going to find out exactly where they are and what they are doing. I f there were more discipline in the home, there would need to be less discipline in the courts of our land. As Christians, this is our God-given responsibility. “ Bringing up Father” as the family head God meant him to be is an ab solute necessity for our day.
