INSTRUCTIONS 1. Pour the apple cider into a large pot and warm over medium heat. 2. While the cider is heating, take the orange and apple and stud them with the whole cloves. 3. Add the clove-studded fruit, ground nutmeg, and ground ginger to the pot. 4. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 15 minutes. 5. Remove from heat and stir in the brandy (if using). 6. Ladle the hot wassail into mugs and garnish.

1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon of ground ginger 1 cup of brandy (optional) Cinnamon sticks, apple slices, and rosemary for garnish
