Moondoogundi Charolais was established in 2021 by Mitchell and Sarah Redding, turning Mitchell’s lifelong dream of breeding Charolais cattle into a reality. Based at Home Rule, NSW, we are a young family passionate about producing quality cattle that combine functionality, performance, and eye appeal. More than just building a stud, our vision has always been to create a legacy for our children and a life that many only dream of—raising our family on the land, working together and building something they can one day be proud to continue. Our breeding philosophy centres on selecting cattle with excellent structure, sound feet, quiet temperaments, and natural thickness, while continuing to build a Homozygous Polled herd. We believe good cattle should not only perform but also be a pleasure to work with, and every mating is carefully planned with these traits in mind. As a family-run operation, we take great pride in every animal we breed. We are continually striving to improve our genetics while remaining true to the values our stud was founded on— honesty, quality and a genuine passion for the Charolais breed.
