and Horticulture, Roads Team, Environmental Services and Traffic Engineering, they are all amazing! This morning, I stopped by the JOC to personally thank the team, but I also wanted you to know what a phenomenal job Public Works does and what an incredible team you have built. I apologize if I missed anyone on this email — please feel free to forward it along so everyone knows how much they are appreciated. From: Councillor Adriano Volpentesta Ward 2 Councillor To: Traffic Team A VaughanTASTIC thank you to everyone last night for attending and hearing firsthand from the residents of Ward 2 and those on the entire MoveSmart team for your dedication and commitment to always assisting the Ward 2 office from nearly 50 in attendance showing how important this is to the community!! It was so great to see the wonderful joy residents had and for many to meet the team in person after so many emails and getting constant results. They have had such a great experience with the team and have helped Lucy, Rosemary and myself deliver real, noticeable results and improvements in their streets and neighborhoods! A VaughanTASTIC thank you and looking forward to continue the Martin Grove Road Traffic Plan together for the everyday people can SEE Real Results for West Woodbridge! With ABSOLUTE APPRECIATION.
From: Councillor Chris Ainsworth, Ward 4 Councillor To: Public Works
I just wanted to take a moment to express how much I appreciate the outstanding work that our Public Works team does. They consistently go above and beyond and it truly makes my office look good. We pride ourselves on responding to residents within 24 hours or less, but it’s the incredible work behind the scenes from Public Works that makes us look like superstars. Just yesterday, I was tagged in a Facebook post about an overflowing garbage bin on Pleasant Ridge. Our Roads Team stepped into action, and within the hour, the area was completely cleaned up. Another recent example is a sewer grate that was entirely detached and posed a serious danger to vehicles and pedestrians. Daniel Sepe’s team responded immediately and resolved the issue. I also want to recognize our Parks, Forestry and Horticulture team. Last week, new tennis courts opened at Mosswood Park, an unfortunately, both nets were vandalized within 48 hours of installation. Carmine’s team was on it right away, ensuring the courts were back in order. There are so many more examples I could give— Public Works is truly an incredible team to work with. When speaking with residents from other municipalities, it’s clear they don’t receive the same level of service we have here in Vaughan. The feedback from our residents is outstanding, and it’s all thanks to the hard work and dedication of your team from Parks, Forestry
