Parks, Foresty and Horticultural Operations Focus Area: Social Wellness
Based on our latest Employee Engagement Survey, we identified significant gaps in our department’s social wellness in three key areas:
• Organizational Engagement • Mental Health and Wellness • Organizational Culture
In 2024, our department took significant steps toward enhancing organizational engagement and culture. A highlight was hosting our first-ever golf tournament, which brought together 50 team members for an enjoyable evening of golf and dinner. This event successfully fostered team bonding and a stronger sense of community.
Building on this momentum, PFHO is also in the process of implementing an “Ideas Platform” and establishing a central library to share mental health resources. These initiatives are designed to promote wellness and provide ongoing support for our team. Looking ahead, we’re planning more exciting initiatives for 2025 to bring our team closer together and strengthen our social wellness.
