Transportation and Fleet Management Services Health and Safety Anthony Cafarelli for taking the time to read and explain weekly safety talks, ensure accessibility to PPE, and implemented ongoing training programs to update the team on the latest safety standards and practices. He has also made a significant difference and positive improvement in the workplace. Positive Impact Award Luca Farronato nominated numerous times for having a radiant and positive personality that shines within the department, not only as a teammate and worker but as a friend. He excels in assisting others in the community and is an absolute pleasure to work with. From the beginning of the day until the end, he is always smiling, and his positivity is exemplified in all his efforts in the Roads department. WOW Award Paul Martinelli was presented this award because he acts with urgency and empathy. Recently, they fractured their foot and were in a boot and crutches and urgently attended a site to act on a councilor request which truly demonstrates their commitment. He is an effective communicator and his approach to enhancing customer experience is exceptional. Emerging Leader Stephen Marcantonio displays professionalism, is extremely cheerful, and has a “can-do” attitude. He has been a rock to lean on while engaging in our city’s core values. He has been
helpful to provide positive solutions while acting as a mentor to the team. With his plethora of knowledge, he has emerged as a true leader in the department. Leannovation Award The Fleet Team: Kent Sherman, Paul Caon, Priyanka Dhawale, Jason Turner, Maurice Battistuzzi, Victoria Villani, and Anthony Agozzino This team has shown outstanding service and have become a pivotal part of the efficiency of TFMS. This team has aided the roads department in implementing new strategies such as the new patrol truck rollout and they go above and beyond to provide outstanding service, professionalism, and dedication to our operations. Leadership Award Paul Caon the greatest motivational speaker who has the ability to inspire employees. Paul has provided exceptional guidance to fellow staff which gives the team direction, support, and better communication skills. With his daily motivational speeches, he has become a crucial asset to the completion of tasks within the department.
