AF&PA Releases January Packaging Paper Report

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) re- leased the January 2025 Packaging Papers Monthly re- port. Total packaging papers and specialty packaging shipments in January increased 4 percent compared to January 2024. The operating rate for bleached packaging papers was 81.4 percent, up 3.3 points from January 2024. Shipments of the biggest subgrade in unbleached packaging papers – bag & sack – were 104,800 short tons for the month of January, down 1.6 percent from the same month last year.
