College of Medicine. Affiliated faculty may receive tenure; however, a tenure designation does not confer a specific or lifetime term of employment. Because the College of Medicine is not the employer of affiliated faculty, the College of Medicine considers tenured affiliated faculty appointments only to mean that as long as the faculty member is employed by the affiliate institution, the faculty member will not be required to submit for reappointment of their faculty title.
