CLINICAL SERVICE Required Criteria
Expertise in clinical care which leads to outstanding patient outcomes Development of clinical skills, improvement interventions, or programs that are nationally or internationally distinctive National or international recognition of clinical and/or quality improvement skills TEACHING AND MENTORING Required Criteria Recognition as an outstanding teacher of students, residents, fellows, faculty or continuing medical education participants Substantial, high-quality mentoring of students, residents, fellows, and/or faculty
RESEARCH AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES Required Criteria
Participation in research or other scholarly activities at an advanced level Sustained publication record
SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP Required Criteria Leadership role in the academic health center or university, professional organizations, and/or the community Leadership role in clinical programs Supporting Criterion Leadership role in educational, research, advocacy, or community health programs PROFESSIONALISM Required Criteria Serves as a role model in acting in a professional manner in interactions with students, trainees, patients, families and colleagues Serves as a role model in maintaining a high standard of ethics in research
