RESEARCH AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES Required Criteria
Project leader or participant in a focused research program Sustained record of high-quality, high-impact publications in peer-reviewed journals Substantial grant support at the local, regional or national level Recognition of research excellence at the national level Supporting Criteria Participation in collaborative research/team science Participation in clinical trials or investigations that may lead to the translation of intellectual property into potentially commercially viable products
CLINICAL SERVICE (if applicable) Required Criterion TEACHING AND MENTORING Required Criteria
Expertise in clinical care which leads to excellent patient outcomes
Recognition as an excellent teacher of students, residents, fellows or faculty High-quality mentoring of students, residents, clinical or post-doctoral fellows, and/or junior faculty SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP Required Criterion Service to the academic health center or university, to professional organizations, and/or to the community PROFESSIONALISM Required Criteria Acts in a professional manner in interactions with patients and family members, colleagues, and trainees Maintains a high standard of ethics in research
