RESEARCH AND SCHOLARLY ACTIVITIES Required Criteria
Participation in a focused educational research program or scholarly activity Publications in peer-reviewed journals Supporting Criteria Recognition of excellence in educational scholarship Grant support for scholarly activities at the local, regional or national level Evidence of collaborative scholarly activities Participation in activities that may lead to the translation of intellectual property into potentially commercially viable products TEACHING AND MENTORING Required Criteria Commitment to education and recognition as an excellent teacher of students, residents, fellows and/or faculty Mentoring of students, residents, clinical or post-doctoral fellows, and/or junior faculty
CLINICAL SERVICE Required Criterion
Expertise in clinical care which leads to excellent patient outcomes
SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP Required Criterion Service to the academic health center or university, to professional organizations, and/or to the community PROFESSIONALISM Required Criteria Acts in a professional manner in interactions with students, trainees, patients, families and colleagues Maintains a high standard of ethics in research
