WHY EVERY SUCCESSFUL REAL ESTATE INVESTOR SHOULD CONSIDER WRITING A BOOK

by Eddie Wilson

t is imperative for every real estate investor who has had major failures but has now found success after failure to write a book. Here are three reasons why writing a book could be your next right thing: 1. Real estate investments can make so many “American Dreams” come true, and more people deserve the opportunity to invest in real estate. Books that are written on the subject in my opinion are the most authentic way for potential investors to learn. Our industry has been filled with so many bad players who take advantage of those who are trying to learn. A simple book with authentic principles and lessons has the lowest barrier of entry for those who are truly searching. Real estate investing and the lessons of success are typically passed on from one person to another. You may have ended up in this industry by accident, but you did not find success by I

accident. It is almost always directly correlated to a person. I hope that your success will allow you to be that guide for someone else and I believe a book is one of the easiest ways for you to pass that blessing to another. 2. Real estate is cyclical and many of the books that we have all read in the past have been from previous cycles. Each real estate cycle has differences and nuances. We need to chronicle those and write about the differences and the new experiences in this cycle so that we continue to have a record of how each generation succeeded within various cycles. 3. I am a third-generation real estate investor and the reason I have been writing books is because I wish my grandfather and father had. We should do it for legacy. My children and grandchildren have an account of my successes and my failures.

They never have to wonder how I achieved what I have achieved. I can rest in the understanding that my legacy lives in the words I have written and what I am passing on. The breadcrumbs in my books might not lead them directly to success, but they will undeniably take them toward it. I would love to see hundreds of books written by all walks of life, from every age group, race, and gender. We owe it to those who are searching for their own success now and to the generations to come. •
