Angelica Bonilla “A.B.” Fominaya stands by her artwork “In the Footsteps of a Stranger.”
A mural on the third floor of Posner Hall invites the Carnegie Mellon University community to walk “In the Footsteps of a Stranger.” Angelica Bonilla “A.B.” Fominaya (CMU 2023) was commissioned to create the artwork by the Department of Languages, Cultures & Applied Linguistics (LCAL) and the Center for Arts in Society’s Hospitality Initiative. The interactive mural explores themes of hospitality and belonging, particularly how we interact with unfamiliar spaces in today’s global context of war, migration and displacement.
