The World Traveler
Alan Eaton (DC 2008; HNZ 2009) learned the value of exploration and perseverance during his time at CMU. Entering as an engineering student, he switched to ethics, history and public policy. Eaton went on to a successful career in the U.S. Department of State
in consular affairs and the foreign service. He has helped facilitate major evacuations, including working alongside his husband in the 2020 evacuation of American citizens from Wuhan, China, during the initial COVID-19 outbreak.
Meela Imperato (DC 2013, 2015, 2015) started her career in publishing before moving to the fast- paced startup world. She credits her time at CMU, when she learned to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities, for her drive to succeed. Currently head of marketing for Cofertility, Imperato also has helped companies including Noom Inc., Aaptiv, Google and Peloton establish the right marketing channels to drive growth and build their brand.
