Creating a Legacy of Support

“ As a student, financial aid was critical to my success. It enabled me to attend such an outstanding institution that would have otherwise been out of my reach. By putting my heart into that work, I was able to achieve a level of success that has now allowed me the pleasure of enabling future generations of diverse, bright and talented students to carry on the legacy I was so blessed to receive myself. ”

Cameron Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences in 1995. He also completed a minor in architecture. He credits his education at CMU as foundational to his success, especially in his current role as senior industry principal of digital and analytics for HCL Technologies. Cameron designated the university in his will, which is one of the easiest, most effective and flexible ways to support CMU. This type of tax-smart gift is easy to arrange and allows him to support the people and organizations that have made an impact on his life.

Brown worked with the CMU Office of Gift Planning to make his charitable goals a reality. His gift, once established, will support students year after year.
