control of infections and related guidance. The report is published on the organisation’s website and includes the following summary: • Any infection transmission incidents and any action taken (these will have been reported in accordance with our relevant reporting procedures), where required • Details of any infection control audits undertaken and actions undertaken • Details of any risk assessments undertaken for the prevention and control of infection • Details of staff training • Any review and update of policies, procedures and guidelines

In the past year (1 st April 2024 – 31 st March 2025), there has not been any incidents raised that related to infection prevention and control. There has been 1 complaint directly referring cleanliness within the clinical area of one of the many the services we deliver. The complaint was passed on to the organisation which were responsible for the cleaning and infection control of the general and clinical environment, and they responded to the complaint directly to the complainant to ensure that any lessons to be learned were implemented to prevent a reoccurrence of the complaint.

NPC was last inspected by Care Quality Commission (CQC) in July 2021, and no issues were raised in relation to the organisational management of IPAC.

Between 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025, NPC conducted regularly scheduled series of audits focused on Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) across its hub premises. Daily IPAC checklists were consistently completed in all clinical areas where NPC is commissioned to deliver services. Where audit findings identified areas for improvement, action plans were developed and successfully implemented. All IPAC audits are recorded within the organisation’s audit schedule, ensuring transparency and accountability. Comprehensive risk assessments were also carried out to ensure that any potential risks were reduced to as low as reasonably practicable. These assessments not only mitigated risks but also helped identify and embed best practices across the organisation. Over the past year, risk assessments were conducted and reviewed at the main office and, where applicable, on behalf of host practices.
