T he 2017-18 season has been a very successful and productive one, during which we have fielded four senior teams as well as 12 other teams throughout the Lower and Middle schools. The U12 A to D squads played a number of matches against some strong local opposition as well as competing well in the Surrey and London Schools Cup. The highlights of the season for this year-group involved a thrilling draw against Eltham College in an A-team fixture, and a fantastic 3-1 win for the B team, also against Eltham. The U13s started the season in October with a fantastic trip to San Sebastián where the tourists competed well against local opposition, as well as enjoying some of the local culture. The A team had a fantastic set of results at the Surrey and London Schools Cup, earning themselves a place in the South of England Hockey Tournament, where they competed well against some of

the best schools in the country. Other highlights included block fixtures against KCS Wimbledon and Eltham College, where the B and C teams won all of their matches in closely contested games. The U14 teams had a challenging season this year, with results not always going their way. However, their tactical understanding and technical skills improved from week to week and at times they played some stunning hockey. With some boys taking up hockey for the first time this year and some boys coming through from the Lower School, the development and attitude throughout the season was superb. The U15s started the season superbly, winning their first four fixtures with two very comfortable wins over KCS Wimbledon and St John’s School Leatherhead, and two closely fought games against Eltham College and Trinity. This form continued into the London and Surrey Schools
