The generosity of our alumni and friends is a critical contributor to College of Business students’ success. Support in scholarships, emergency funds, and program gifts all allow us to enhance student opportunity and suc- cess. We thank you for your partnership. In the 2021-22 academic year, we awarded nearly $140,000 in scholarships. Most of our students work while attending school. Schol - arship support allows them to place greater focus on their academic studies, and more time to participate in important co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that enhance their personal and professional development. For many of our students, attending school full-time would simply not be an option with- out scholarship support. We also continue to support our students in acute financial crisis through the CB Emer - gency Fund. Contributions from partners, led by BECU, and alumni continue to provide resources to students facing immediate needs. Emergency grants are typically small, one- time funds designed for short-term impact to keep students in school and on track for graduation. This program has proven remark - ably successful. Gifts to support programs have been invested to acquire an industry-standard profession - al development and student engagement platform. We piloted our new EDGE (Explore, Develop, Grow, Excel) program this academic year with plans for opening it to all students next year. This work would not be possible without our generous donors. Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing many of you on our travels and hope you will stop for a visit if you are in the Ellensburg area. We would love to show off the benefits of your investments in our students. Call Shawn Lowney, Assistant Vice President, Development, at 509-963-3828 or email shawn.lowney@cwu.edu.
