Vinfen's Vocational Training Center (VVTC) serves a diverse group of adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilites, mental health conditions, and behavioral health challenges. Vinfen's Vocational Training Center (VVTC) Culinary Internship 860 Prospect Hill Road, Windsor - 1 opening Description: Interning at VVTC you will learn the inner workings of running a full kitchen alongside staff and individuals with intellectual disabilities. This is a fast-paced environment that will teach proper safety techniques and a variety of food preparation techniques. Interns will participate in sanitizing food prep stations, stocking and replenishing products, enforcing safety protocols, and meal planning and preparation. Candidate Requirements: Candidates should have a desire to learn about the social services workforce. Ideal candidates are culinary arts students who are at least 18 years old and have a reliable mode of transportation. Supervision: This intern will be supervised by the Program Director and Chef, and will have the opportunity to learn alongside many support staff.
Schedule: Schedule, days and hours are flexible based on the needs of the student. Interns must work at least 8 hours per week on a weekday (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm).
