Vinfen's Vocational Training Center (VVTC) serves a diverse group of adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilites, mental health conditions, and behavioral health challenges. Our goal is to transform lives through person-centered training and building meaningful relationships. We help people achieve their education or employment goals so they can live independent, successful lives in the community. Vinfen's Vocational Training Center (VVTC) Culinary Internship 860 Prospect Hill Road, Windsor - 1 opening Description: Interning at VVTC you will learn the inner workings of running a full kitchen alongside staff and individuals with intellectual disabilities. This is a fast-paced environment that will teach proper safety techniques and a variety of food preparation techniques. Interns will participate in sanitizing food prep stations, stocking and replenishing products, enforcing safety protocols, and meal planning and preparation. Candidate Requirements: Candidates should have a desire to learn about the social services workforce. Ideal candidates are culinary arts students who are at least 18 years old and have a reliable mode of transportation. Supervision: This intern will be supervised by the Program Director and Chef, and will have the opportunity to learn alongside many support staff.

Schedule: Schedule, days and hours are flexible based on the needs of the student. Interns must work at least 8 hours per week on a weekday (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm).
