I Spy (Vehicles) I spy something that is red; Stand up, turn around,
Five Little Fish Five little fish went out to play (Hold up one hand; wiggle your fingers.) When the mommy fish called with a glub, glub, glub (Say, “glub” somewhat quietly.) Four little fish came swimming back. (Put one finger down to show four.)
Point to the thing that’s red. (Repeat with other color names while looking for vehicles. Can also be played while spying other ordinary objects, or even clothing children are wearing.)
(Continue until there are no more fish.)
I spy every color I know; Stand up, turn around, The world is a rainbow!
But when the mommy fish called with a GLUB, GLUB, GLUB! (Say, “glub” very loudly.) Five little fish came swimming back! (Wiggle all five fingers very fast.)
Theme 9 Rain or Sun, Stories Are Fun!
It’s Raining, It’s Pouring It’s raining, it’s pouring, (Wiggle fingers; move arms downward like rain.) The old man is snoring. (Make snoring sound.) He bumped his head (Light tap the side of your head.) On the side of the bed And couldn’t get up in the morning. (Rest head on hands as if sleeping.)
Theme 10 Imagine That! Bears!
Five Baby Bears Five baby bears in the bed, One rolled over and hit his head. Four baby bears in the bed, One bear left to eat some bread. Three baby bears in the bed, “It’s time to go!” one baby bear said. Two baby bears in the bed, One asked for a story to be read. One baby bear in the bed, He’s comfy under the whole bedspread!
