Kindergarten Theme Days Make Learning Come Alive! Grade Level Innovation Projects
Our incredible Kindergarten teachers have created engaging theme days that blend hands-on fun with key curriculum standards. Each day is thoughtfully designed to be inclusive, culturally responsive, and meaningful to students. Highlights include: Hibernation Day – Cozy up and explore how animals survive winter. Apple Day – Count, sort, and experiment with all things apples. Rainbow Day – Dive into the science and stories behind rainbows.
These joyful experiences connect learning to students’ lives, making school both fun and meaningful!
First Grade's Garden-to-Table Adventure Our first graders took hands-on learning to the next level by starting their very own hydroponic garden! They observed plant growth, cared for herbs and leafy greens, and watched their garden thrive. When harvest time arrived, students picked their crops and took part in a tasty celebration —sampling fresh herbs, making dips, and creating delicious salads with their homegrown ingredients. A fun and flavorful way to learn about science, responsibility, and healthy eating!
Second Grade Explores the World of Work Our second graders are diving into the world of work with an exciting cross-curricular Career Exploration Project! Every few Fridays, students participate in “Career Days” where they learn about different professions through nonfiction books, videos, and special guest speakers. These hands-on experiences help students understand what various jobs involve and spark curiosity about the future. The project will culminate in student presentations where they proudly share what they’ve learned!
