Our annual Book Joy event on May 8th was a joyful celebration of literacy, family, and fun! Students swapped gently used books for exciting new titles to kickstart their summer reading, while families enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, games, face painting, delicious food, and festive treats. This year’s special event continued the trend of blending learning with laughter, showcasing the power of reading to bring our TJMS community together.

On May 16th, TJMS 8th-grade Social Studies students presented their Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) projects in the new auxiliary gym. These student-led, research-based initiatives explored real-world community issues, reflecting months of inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking. The showcase celebrated student voice and civic engagement, with powerful presentations on topics that matter to our school and broader community.
