HEALTHY MINDS, STRONG BODIES: HIGHLIGHTS HEALTHY MINDS , STRONG BODIES : HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE TJMS HEALTH & WELLNESS FAIR FROM THE TJMS HEALTH & WELLNESS FAIR

In support of our mission to promote student well-being, the TJMS School Counseling department hosted our second annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair on April 8th. It was a meaningful step toward empowering students with tools for emotional wellness and lifelong success. A local yoga studio taught some of our PE classes chair yoga techniques, a boxing gym provided fitness for mental health, and our expert community mental health vendors taught practical coping skills, shared valuable resources, and encouraged students to make informed choices for a healthier, happier life. The star of the show was Tybee, a gentle and friendly golden retriever and certified therapy dog from the Edison PD, brought to us by her handler, Sergeant Michalak.

TJMS HOSTS FIRST ANNUAL MATH OLYMPIAD TJMS HOSTS FIRST ANNUAL MATH OLYMPIAD On June 6, 2025, Thomas Jefferson Middle School held its first annual Math Olympiad, an exciting academic event designed to

foster engagement, promote a love for mathematics, and provide students with a fun, challenging environment to grow their problem-solving skills. What made this event truly special was that it was organized and facilitated by a dedicated group of students who planned activities, led sessions, and created a dynamic experience for their peers. The event highlighted the leadership, collaboration, and mathematical curiosity of all involved. Special thank you to the following students: Mahasvin Kota, Aadya Panchal, Gurshan Singh, Saanvika Govindaraj, Aaren Agarwal, Furqan Nadeem, Atharva Panchal, Aleksandros Boulieris, and Rayaan Mirkar.
