PASSION PROJECTS ON DISPLAY: ACES PASSION PROJECTS ON DISPLAY : ACES STUDENTS SHARE THEIR JOURNEYS STUDENTS SHARE THEIR JOURNEYS

On May 28th, students from the ACES program at Thomas Jefferson Middle School proudly presented their Interest Journey Projects. These projects allowed students to explore topics they were passionate about, which ranged from personal hobbies to community issues they wanted to better understand. Some project topics that were highlighted were "Why Movies Make Us Feel," "Game Show: Water Scarcity Edition," and "Climate Change: How Climate Change Affects Our World." The showcase welcomed members of the school community, who engaged with 32 unique student projects and learned about the diverse interests of our ACES students. We are incredibly proud of their creativity, curiosity, and hard work. We look forward to their continued success!

STUDENT PERSPECTIVES SHINE IN TJMS STUDENT PERSPECTIVES SHINE IN TJMS DEBATE ON CELL PHONE POLICY DEBATE ON CELL PHONE POLICY

On June 4th, Thomas Jefferson Middle School held a spirited student debate on New Jersey Senate Bill S3695, which proposes banning cell phones in all K-12 public schools. Students thoughtfully argued both for and against the bill, showcasing their research, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. The event highlighted student voice and civic engagement on a timely and relevant issue in education.
