Uses: The grub found in the bark is edible, and very high in protein. Note: There was some debate over whether the wattle found in the Riawunna cultural garden was a Tasmanian acacia, or an import from Victoria. Further investigation is recommended.
Uses: Provides shade, and is a beautiful tree when mature. The tree has a rounded leaf and clusters of white flowers; the sap is thought to have been useful.

Uses: While the plant is inedible, the strands can be dried, bound and used together as a brush. The bush was also used as a building material - as a roofing material or as a form of dry matting on hut floors. The mutton bird also uses this grass as a source for nesting material.
Uses: The minty flavour can be used to enhance cooked food, or can be chewed on its own.

Uses: This plant is a cultural marker and flowers when the weather is warmer. Usually when the flowers are out, Ab- original people know that snakes are likely to be around as well. The leaves can also be dried, soaked and used to make woven baskets.
Uses: Primarily used as a medicine, pig face is adaptable and can be used for sunburn, insect bites, psoriasis and other skin conditions. The shrub bears a fruit which tastes a little like salty strawberries.
