VISIT THE HISTORIC COFFMAN HOMESTEAD
Take a peek into Dublin’s history at a monthly open house Sunday, May 2 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 13 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 11 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12 1 to 3 p.m.
The Coffman Homestead will be open for tours of the restored 1860s house and barns. Hear the stories of Fletcher, Marinda, Ida, Willie and the rest of the Coffman family. Visit the barn and replica one-room schoolhouse. The 1920s barn contains vintage implements spanning decades of farm life. Many items were used in the field, others in the barn and in and around the home. Guides will demonstrate many of the implements. The replica school room will have an interpretive guide for visitors to view. The Historical Society will follow state and CDC guidelines in place at the time of the open houses. Signs will be posted at the Coffman house and on social media. The Coffman Homestead is located in Coffman Park and is adjacent to the City of Dublin’s Development Building, 5200 Emerald Parkway.
