The Heartbeat of Medford Business: Recapping The Chamber’s Achievements Written by Emily Hunter
I t’s National Chamber of Commerce Week, and we at the Medford Chamber want to celebrate by highlighting our achievements over this past year and thanking our dedicated members who help make it all possible! With just a small team of 5 staff members, we managed to put on a whopping 146 events in 2022 - from our monthly Forum luncheons to our annual Excellence in Business Awards. We strive to provide top-notch networking and community building opportunities for our members throughout the year. Whether you’re looking to make new connections, gain visibility for your business, or give back to the community, The Chamber is here to help you succeed. And succeed you have! Our members are the heart and soul of this organization. Thanks to your hard work and involvement, the Medford Chamber continues to thrive and grow. We now have over 1200 members - from small family-owned shops to major corporations.
Together we are working to promote Medford as the vibrant, welcoming, business-friendly city we know and love. As part of our mission to encourage tourism and economic growth, we proudly operate the Travel Medford visitors center and website. Last year alone we distributed over 42,322 visitor guides and fielded 555 calls from potential tourists. We also strive to foster positive relationships between local businesses and government agencies. Our Legislative Action Team works year-round to represent your business interests and concerns at the state level. And our monthly Legislative Hotline video conferences give members direct access to our state legislators. Most importantly, the Medford Chamber serves as a hub connecting individuals and businesses across various sectors. We believe Medford’s economic health depends on the strength of these connections. By learning from each other and leveraging our diverse talents and resources, we lift up our community. Thank you to all our members for your continued involvement and support. It’s because of you that The Chamber remains a thriving, positive force in our region. We look forward to celebrating many more achievements with you in the years ahead!
