Behind the scenes, Mai and Chelsea operate with steely determination. ey've hosted up to four events a month, expanded into full exhibitions, and have even run wellbeing workshops for NHS sta . eir rst art show, launched in collaboration with a football-themed book signing, was pulled together in under two weeks and featured over 100 submissions, narrowed down to a curated 15-piece exhibition. "It was chaotic," Chelsea admits, laughing. "But it worked. We just asked ourselves, 'Why not?'" Why not, indeed. In many ways, Cosy Kreations reects the changing face of art culture, a movement de ned not by gatekeepers or gallery owners but by collaboration, tech-savviness, and heart. ey're using social media to attract talent from around the world (one performer from Spain discovered them via TikTok), but they're also establishing hyper-local roots in Liverpool's creative community. Still, the big vision remains. Festivals, websites, creative residencies, their own venue, and even a community radio station. And at the core of it all? People. "We just want to help everyone," Mai says. "We want to help small businesses, local artists, photographers, musicians, anyone trying to do something creative. at's what Cosy Kreations is about." ey're not quite a charity, not quite a business, more like a beautifully unstable ecosystem of ideas, intentions, and energy. But what they lack in funding, they make up for in grit. And they're proof that, in a post-COVID world, where loneliness and disconnection still linger, a
creative community is not a luxury but a lifeline. As we wrap the interview, Mai reects on a moment during one of their earliest events; "It was the rst music event we did which turned out to be a succsess. e event had just ended, and people were hugging, chatting, and buzzing and then when we went outside, and it started snowing for the rst time in a year, it was magical" And it's that feeling of magic, electricity, and community that they're determined to keep chasing.
