THE FATHER OF LOVE by Carmen Walter

To accept or reject Him, we have to choose; But can we afford His love to lose? When the final stone of judgment is hurled. Will you travel with Him to His per fect world? We can prepare for that glorious day— If we will travel the straight, narrow way. When Christ reigned on earth, He loved all men, And He loves us now in heaven again. He asks of us His Word to obey; Why do so many answer with— nay? If this is all He requests of us— Why not board the heaven-bound bus? What they ask, is the key to salva tion? Is Jesus Christ the sure transporta tion? The love of God is the unspeakable Gift, Surely it will provide the heaven ward lift. This gift of God— that none should perish, Is the gift we all, in trust, must cherish. "For God so loved the world that He gave His Son," Would any man the same have done? From wealth to poverty is quite a switch, Yet He became poor that we might be rich. Eternal life in heaven above, Is given by God, "The Father of Love." BU ILDING by Gilbert Christy Berlew A careful man I ought to be, A little fellow follows me, I do not care to go astray For fear he'll go the self-same way. I cannot once escape his eyes, Whate'er he sees me do he tries. Like me he says he's going to be— That little chap who follows me. He thinks that I am good and fine; Believes in every word of mine; The base in me he must not see, That little chap who follows me. I must remember as I go Through summer sun and winter snow I'm building for the years to be The little chap who follows me.
