PIA Adds Color Management Course To iLearning Center Printing Industries of America recently launched a new Color Management Fundamentals course to the iLearning Center. Presented by Joe Marin, Vice Presi- dent of Education and Training, the course is avail- able to Printing Industries of America printer members as a free benefit of membership. From a simple beginning in 2000, printing labels on letterpress machines, Thai family business Trisan has moved to flexo production with two Nilpeter press- es and one Omet machine. To cope with the extra production capacity and the higher quality labels now being produced by its 50 employees, the com- pany has decided to invest in Flexo Wash cleaning equipment. The first FlexoWash cleaning system at Trisan was an anilox cleaner. So, whenTrisan saw the need for a plate washer, it invested in more FlexoWash technology. It is the first parts washer that Flexo Wash/TGG will install, and the target is that the installation will reduce the manpower involved in cleaning atTrisan’s plant. W&H Develops Digital Flexible Packaging Press Windmoeller & Hoelscher has reached a first mile- stone in its development project with a machine con- cept for a new digital printing machine. W&H has partnered with other industry companies, including inkjet printhead manufacturer Xaar.The digital print- ing machine fromW&H is based on piezo inkjet tech- nology. W&H has been conducting research in the field of digital printing for several years.
