Ouvert au public en 2015, le domaine a connu en 2021 une nouvelle impulsion. De remarquables acquisitions au sein de la Collection Philippe Austruy, déjà riche d’une centaine d’œuvres d’artistes majeurs (Daniel Buren, Jean Dubuffet, Niki de Saint Phalle, Dan Graham, Carsten Höl- ler, Bertrand Lavier, Richard Long,…), l’aménagement d’un espace d’exposition temporaire de 200 m² ainsi que l’instauration d’une résidence d’artiste pérenne ont per- mis de hisser la Commanderie de Peyrassol au rang des plus prestigieux lieux d’art privés. Le beau et le bon sont ainsi réunis, selon les désirs de Phi- lippe Austruy. Opened to the public in 2015 and boasting works by major artists such as Daniel Buren, Jean Dubuffet, Niki de Saint Phalle, Dan Graham, Carsten Höller, Bertrand Lavier and Richard Long, the Philippe Austruy Collection benefited in 2021 from the develop- ment of a 200 sqm temporary exhibition space, as well as the establishment of a long-term artist residency. Consequently, the Commanderie de Peyrassol counts among the most prestigious private art collections. The beautiful and the wholesome have thus been united, just as Philippe Austruy wanted.
